Woah. I had money?! :S
Went to London last Thursday so stay with Katie and go to see The Woman in White :D It was SOOOO BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!! I'd made my mum keep all my money for the last couple of months so I had money to spend. It worked, I actually went shopping and bought stuff! Including the WIW sheet music that I've been played over and over and over.... and there was a sale on at the Disney store so you can imagine how much time I spent in there :P We met Kat and Chris (eventually!) and spent over an hour in dress circle. Then went over to the Palace Theatre (the bestest theatre in the woooorld!) and saw the best musical I've seen in ages! It's sooo much better seeing it on stage than listening to it on CD. Speaking of CDs Katie made me another one :D This one has everything she has with John singing and some more Romeo and Juliet. She forced me to watch "The good bits" of De-lovely which made me like Cole Porter's stuff much more. Even if it was a weird depressing film :P I'm not so fond of Cole Porter himself now...
The 'Hair' stuff's dead weird Katie :s :P
Best website I've found on stumble today: http://www.nostalgiacentral.com/features/20moviethings.htm
All over!
Yippeeee! No more exams :D Well not for about a year anyway. After 2 months of er... solid revision... I can relax for 10 weeks! So what's new... I should really update this more, I'm sure loads of interesting stuff has happened I just can't remember it all. I got Phantom of the Opera on DVD so have been watching that just about every week... and Dan STILL has my CD which I WILL get back sometime this year. Hopefully. Though I did get my books and CDs back from Clare... geez how long does it take her to read 2 books?!? Anyway back to Phantom, Gerard Butler is 10 x better than Patrick Wilson. Argue with me if you dare, Dan. I've got a mini-obsession with him now, mini because he has to share my undying affections with John Barrowman. Aka Cap'n Jack, aka oneofthebestbroadwaysingersEVER! I shall be eternally in Katie's debt for introducing me to his angelic voice.
Ok maybe that's going a bit too far but it's very nice :P
Exams have gone ok I think, I'm not stressed and I have no immediate desire to know my grades. Trying to get a job at the mo, interview on Tuesday so we'll see how that goes. Yes, I finally got round to writing my CV. Well in all honesty I nicked Nathan's and changed the details. So thanks for that Nathan :P
Been talking to Christy again :D Which "technically has a 'j' in there somewhere" but I can never remembe where :P Chrisje? Oh never mind. She's as obsessed with Wimbledon as I am, unfortunately we don't agree on the players we want to win and I've learnt that she's the one person I can NEVER win an arguement against... :P Hewitt vs. Dent. I saw Dent at Nottingham and he seems like an arrogant git so I'm hoping Hewitt wins. However, Christy hates Hewitt with a passion. Oh good we've moved on... :P
Speaking of Wimbledon... time for a huge rant! HOW disappointing were all the english players this year? It's not fair, it's IN England, we should have some good players! But no, Greg's out 2nd round, as is Henman, and Andrew Murray after getting off to SUCH a great start had to go and cock up the last 3 sets! I was not happy. Now I want Roddick to win, and it's nice to know he's got a chance of getting to the final! I'd like to see another Roddick-Federer final though I think Federer would win it. After seeing a documentary on champions I like Federer a lot more he seems like a really nice guy. T'would be nice to see Gasquet win his match today since he beat the crap out of Dent at Nottingham, but Christy wants his opponent to win so I'm avoiding that subject... apparently "No frenchman are ruining" her dream semi-final setup :P We will see....
Going to see The Woman in White next month :D Katie's booked us tickets and Ruthie's going to be in it!!!! :D I've never seen her on stage before so this should be goooood. The visit to Katieland shall also include a trip to London when we shall meet various other NAGTY people. Hopefully Joey will be able to come - t'would be nice since he lives as far away from other people as possible and never seems to be able to attend meetups :P He's in Germany at the moment on work experience. Hope he's managing to communicate alright... the only useful thing I'd be able to say is "Can I have a large chocolate ice cream please?" Mind you I should be able to get through on that....
Nathan's coming to stay next week :D After an open day thingy at High Pavement. Which was originally only going to be attended by me and Loz, then Dan's coming because she's staying in Nottingham (yippeeee!) and Gaynor and Clare because they've decided they're coming too, then Loz decides she's going to bugger off to Italy instead! The one country I really want to visit and she's going twice this year! Life's not fair... Should be good though, Elle's going there too next year :D I haven't been to the same school as her since we were 4. And since nursary probably doesn't count, I haven't ever been to the same school as her :P
Must go watch some tennis now, must cheer for Hewitt to counter Christy's insults ;)
£16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well... went to see Nathan last weekend which was nice. And I'll see him again this weekend when we go to the lecture :) HOPEFULLY he'll come to Helen's sleepover on the Friday but since he's got school that day and wouldn't be able to come til late, his mum's not happy about him changing trains at Brum so.. we'll see.
Phoned Elaine last night :D Only problem being I phoned from my mobile and ended up spending £16 :S Next time I'll ask people what network they're on...
Played badminton with Becky, Richard and Jonny yesterday. And am going again today with my family. All this exercise.. ;) I'm amazing myself considering how lasy I used to be! (whoever just said "you still are" shut up!)
Despite lots of nice things happening I'm having a really stressy week. Little things are really annoying me and making me upset and its a pain in the arse. So I apologise to anyone I annoy this week, its not exactly my fault :P
But Friday should be fun. Get to see Helen, Katie and smelly Javid again :D and I'll meet my sister ;) I've been sitting down too long.. better go before I lose all use of my legs.
I love French :P
Well, I got A* in French! Twas really good, I didn't have it til the Friday morning and everything that she asked me about I'd basically memoried anyway. German was a bit more iffy. Got an A, which I know is still good, but I was annoyed with myself for messing up on easy parts because I was nervous. But I did have DT, RE and IT coursework in that week so I couldn't devote as much time to learning my German as I had to my French. So hopefully when it comes to the real thing I'll be able to get an A* in both. I really need that in both to pull my overall grade up because I'm not so hot at reading or listening. I should be ok with my coursework... I need to memorise more french for a controlled piece of coursework for.. Tuesday I think. But I'd completely forgotten that... and haven't actually written the stupid thing yet. So I'll have to do so tomorrow/Thursday and memorise over the weekend.
I went to French this morning only to find out that there wasn't actually a lesson and I was the only person that hadn't been told! Charming! Then Andy turned up so I went to his form room and talking to him for a bit. Then more people came including Luke so I had a giggle at the day's hairstyle and his bad language when he lost at cards ;)
Twas also the Music Festival at school today. I sang 'I don't know how to love him' and played 'All I ask of you' on the piano with Becky on the clarinet. Both went well :) We'll know who got through to the final in a couple of days I expect. Tomorrow if we're lucky. I also had to step in at the last minute and play 'Beautiful' for little Alison so sing along to. I reeeally didn't want to screw it up for her, and I didn't! I don't think :P And I got to miss 3 lessons. Which is good considering we only have 5 in a day. So twas all good :P After school I went to the leisure centre with Becky, Andy, Dave B, Dave W and Bisset to play badminton. They're all so good! The lads especially. I must practice to be at least half as good as they are before next time ;) I think I'll start going with them every week. That way I'll be doing something most evenings. Wow. I used to have every evening apart from Wednesdays completely free ;) Now its gym on Monday/Friday/Sunday (but sometimes miss days depending on whether I have a lot of homework/revision) Singing on wednesday, Piano Thursday and I .. don't do anything on Saturday but thats ok :P I suppose I'm supposed to be sociable on Saturdays and go to the cinema/sleepovers with my friends. But rarely do. Ah well.
Went to NAGTY lecture on 22nd. Twas really good, I met looads of nice people I sort of knew from forums etc. David made us all cookies and had a really nice hat ;) Miss Helen was random and weird as usual and we all tried to poke her nose because she generally doesn't let people. I won by poking her first. whoo! But then Charz, James and Javid all managed it. 4 in one day Helen, tut tut :P Hopefully going to another one on the 19th Feb at coventry. It'd be really good if all people could go again, and some more such as Katie, Joseph, NATHAN :P Especially Nathan since I otherwise might not see him til April. Which is just stupid :P Hmm started using smileys a lot now.. I've got a really great new smiley on msn its a sticky-outy-tonguey one but its.. more sticky outy :P Ok that doesn't make any sense.. if you're reading thins and thinking 'what in the world...?' pm me on msn and ask to see it ;)
Oooh I actually applied for college at last! Sent my application form off to High Pavement. And I'm so cocky I didnt apply for anywhere else :P So I'd better get in... I really don't want to stay at school but I can't go all the way to Bilborough. It should be ok, there are open evenings still in March so its probably a good time to send off forms. I should really apply for summer school as well.. Just need to get reference sort of things from music teachers (bit worried about the piano one since I don't practice much because in the time I've had her, I've had exams practically the whole time to revise for and at the moment they're *slightly* more pressing) and something from someone at school saying they're mardy arses and won't pay anything towards the fee. Well, to be fair we haven't exactly asked them yet, but I think they said when I joined that they weren't prepared to pay anything towards anything like this. Poo. But my parents are willing to pay the full fee anyway. It'd just be nice if they didn't have to! But my school like spending the money on things like ... new plants for the Princess Royal's visit (stood in cold for over an hour. saw her walk past for 10 seconds. very pointless and boring.) and projectors that people keep stealing (you'd have thought they'd have got the message and stopped buying them.) Then again, my school's very up its arse (well it would be if it was a person) and likes looking good (eg. ooh lots of new computers and science block and ooh all our pupils wear ties... blah) so might appreciate a pupil going to summer school which isn't for stupid people. Although by the time I did I'd have left. YAY! Don't know whether Lauren's staying at school or coming to High Pavement with me yet. She applied for both and keeps changing her mind about which one's preferable. She wants a change of scene but can't be bothered to go into Nottingham every day for school. Might mean she has to get up.... earlier :| Heaven forbid! Tipical lazy attitudes of my friends :P It'd be nice if she came to High Pavement. That way at least I'd see her on the way to/from school every day if I didn't see her in school, and we'd definitely keep in touch. I wouldn't want to go to different schools and hardly see her. Dan's applying to even more I think. One's up here just incase she can stay up here, and a couple in Cornwall. Where she really doesn't want to go. Bless her. I'm sure she'd be fine after a few weeks but all her friends are here, and her cousin, and there's no Topshop for miles down there :P
Better go now. Haven't got much sleep recently. Need my beauty rest :P
Night night xx
I hate French.
Ok, so.. Christmas was good, woke up at 6 because everyone else was up, opened presents from my friends, parents went to work, me and bro went to church then sat around watching TV until my parents came home at 3. Then we opened all the other presents, ate, watched TV (Leslie Garrat concert with Ruthie Henshall, whom Katie stalks!) and that was pretty much it. Grandparents came round at some point between getting home from church and parents getting home. Then did nothing until the 29th when I went to London :D to see HDM plays (again!) with Nathan and his ickle brother (who looks really sweet when singing the Goblin song but don't tell him that ;)) . On Thursday we met Katie who gave me the uber CD of wonderousness which is truely uber!!! Especially disk 2 which has all the English stuff on it. I didn't know that before I decided it was better than disk 1 (American stuff) honestly! ;) But Avenue Q stuff is great too. If not slightly weird. At least she didn't put the really weird ones on which I'd have to play very quietly so my parents didn't hear. Including the one she started singing in Dress Circle (my new favourite shop thank you so much Mr Katie's Dad for taking us there!) "I'm not wearing any underwear today". I just hope anyone who heard her realised it was from a musical and she wasn't just randomly singing about her current state.....
Then we wandered up Oxford Street, apparently "dragging" Nathan along although to be fair we gave him a choice and he chose to come with us and knew that we'd be going shopping :P So stop moaning ;) And before you know it, Katie was gone from the station which played 'The Woman in White' trailers so is my favouritest station in the world. But I'm going to see her soon because I am GOING to see Jekkyl and Hyde with her in Marchy time. Despite the fact its coming here too. But hey, if its really good, I can go and see it with her and then she can come see it here!
Anywhoo then Nathan came here over new year which was nice. But he went on Tuesday. And as if going on Tuesday wasn't bad enough, he went on Tuesday at 8am! Meaning I got up at 6. zzzzzzzzz. Mind you I did get up at 7 every other day he was here anyway. Lauren said to me today "so what did you do with Nathan?" *pause* "I DIDN'T mean it like that Becca don't you dare say.. I meant where did you go? Dont look at me like that!" So to answer Lauren's question, we went to a party at my church on new years eve, church on Sunday morning and that was just about it. Plenty of interesting things to do without leaving the house :P Like...... watch TV! :P And play on crash bandicoot on Gameboy Advance, on which I got slightly hooked.. I did really well though I got to like the 3rd group of levels in 3 days! I know, I'm sad.......
School on Monday. And I reeeally don't want to go. I keep saying I'll do this stupid French homework (memorising my presentation and "preparing" for the rest of the stupid exam.. oh poo I need to revise 3 topic areas for a 'conversation' :| noooooooo!) but I can't be bothered. Oh damn. I'm all depressed now.
So.... where's Northampton?
Well... Katie's started a LiveJournal and I feel bad because I haven't written in this for donkeys, so... hello. I also feel kind of left out when everyone else starts doing something and I don't ;)
Whenever someone tells me where they live I have to ask them where that is, and I feel ever so slightly stupid. Yes I'm talking about places in England here. But Geography was never my strong point, and I only just about know where Nottingham, Bristol, London and Liverpool are, though I'd still struggle to point out Liverpool on a map :P (If the map wasn't annotated. If it had a big 'LIVERPOOL' right next to it I think I'd be ok.)
I went to see Phantom of the Opera at the cinema (yes! He made a film! Bless ALW, bless you! *kisses the ground he walks on*) for the second time yesterday. It's even better second time round. Gerard Butler who plays the phantom is amaaaaazing and has the bestest voice. And half of his face is pretty nice too :P My friends thought it was too long (the film, not his face) but what do they know. Peh. Katie's dance teacher's daughter's in it. Whoohoo my claim to fame!
Speaking of Katie I'm meeting her in... 11 days :D Me and Nathan are meeting up with her when we go to London. (London! Harrods! Cool musical shop place called the dress circle! *sighs with happiness*) Yees I'm ever so slightly hyper today. I'll stop now before I explode with hyperness.
She returns... dum dum duummmmm. ahem.
Whoops. Haven't posted on here for almost 2 months.. oh well. No one's interested anyway. Tum tee tum.. so... I had a good birthday, went to see Phantom of the Opera which was veeeery good, I want to go back! Some people from school get to go and see it soon because they're involved in dancing or some such rubbish. Hmph. They've only done one little show for a few people! Why can't I go?! *sulks* anyway... went to see Nathan the weekend after which was very nice. Went to Bath and saw some very strange street entertainers... when we got there there were 2 men in thongs doing tricks with fire... interesting might be one word for it. They were funny though. Then we went round Bath looking at shops etc. and when we went back that way, there was a man on a unicycle wearing a pink tutu. It sounds like a really weird dream but I swear it was real :P
Went to Bristol again on the.. 26th Oct. Saw Mary Poppins at the Hippodrome and that was really good too, she flew! ;) And did magic tricks with the things in her bag.. this bed just appeared from no where! It probably has a really simple explanation but I'm perfectly willing to believe that it was actual magic. So don't tell me any different. Shh. I stayed till Sunday (in Bristol not the Hippodrome..) went shopping once and bought Becky's birthday present (which I thought would take me AGES to find but luckily, no!) from one of my favourite shops Evolution which I spent quite a bit of time in looking at absolutely everything... I'd buy everything in there if I had enough money. Which I was discussing recently.. what would you do if you had £2m. I'd be "boring" according to certain friends, and put it all in the bank, but you see that way you get loads of interest and even more money. To spend on clothes or shoes or whatever. So nyah :P Then I'd buy everything in Evolution... and probably the majority of things in the Disney Store. And a nice computer for Nathan because his brother got a new one recently and he had a mardy ;) Something big and expensive for me... then I'd give some money to my family, although I'd probably be forced to do so... ah I want to win £2m now. Why couldn't my parents be film stars. *mumble*....
Mocks on the 15th. Eeeek. No one's revised, to my knowledge. And on the 18th we have an actual Science Modular exam. Double eeek. We haven't covered everything we need to in physics and I'm starting to stress. Why do we have to have such a crap teacher. I can't understand a word he says! He mumbles on for about 10 minutes about his previous lives as an MI5 agent or something, and tells countless stories about his past diving career although they're usually repeated ones we've heard 20 times... boring man. So Nathan's kindly offered to help me revise. Although the bits I manage to revise are never on the stupid exam anyway. And since it's only worth about 5% of my overall mark, I'm not too fussed... I got an A* last time so I can afford to do a bit crap. Which I will do. Sob.
Mum's gone to Spain for the week to see my grandparents, so it's very quiet... we can eat junk all week and I don't have to do my homework/be off the computer at a specific time, I can play a song over and over and no one'll tell me to change it... :D Only til Saturday though.. then it's back to the ol' routine..
I'm going to be on the radio! Some weird online channel but still! I get a day off school, thats the highlight ;) And I get to meet Melissa of course. It's a NAGTY thingy, Sarah got in touch with 4 of us asking if we'd like to go on this show which I THINK involves us interviewing someone. An author probably, since it was through the reading group. Although it'll probably be one I've never heard of ;) still, it'll be fun to meet people and go down to London for the day in December :D Then on the 29th I get to go to London AGAIN to see the HDM play. Again ;)
Well I think I've written enough crap for one day!
